chicoritmo started in 2006 as a Turntablist inspired by the percussive rhythms and sounds that laid the foundation for House Music and Hip-Hop. Later he began his formal career as a DJ and multi-cultural manager in the Monterrey music scene. Growing up within the competitive Hip-Hop scene, his surroundings disciplined him into constantly evolving with the culture and encouraged him to explore new music genres while learning new skills through different formats.

A distinguished DJ known for his style, curation, and mixing technique, regularly performing at Monterrey’s top venues like Meteoro Disco, TOPAZ Deluxe, Boreal, IOOI, and French Fried. Renowned not only for crafting dancefloor-shaking grooves, he also champions the preservation and growth of true DJing culture across northern Mexico through the creation and curation of spaces and experiences such as Roland Coffee Bar, The Fader Method, Open Studio, hifirecords, and RLND Sessions, he has played a vital role in uniting and nurturing the turntablist community.

This 2025 he’s independently crafting new musical projects as well as developing and curating new experiences with the substance and cultural value that will help to push forward the current DJ scene.
