chicoritmo started in 2006 as a Turntablist inspired by the percussive rhythms and sounds that laid the foundation for House Music and Hip-Hop. Later in 2019 he began his formal career as a DJ and multi-cultural manager in the Monterrey music scene. Growing up within the competitive Hip-Hop scene, his surroundings disciplined him into constantly evolving with the culture and encouraged him to explore new music genres while learning new skills through different formats.

Noted for his style, curation and mixing techniques, chicoritmo can be found every weekend playing at the most popular clubs and spots in the city such as Meteoro Disco, TOPAZ Deluxe, Boreal, IOOI and French Fried among others.

Beyond developing the skills to conduct eccentric grooves surely to make dance floors tremble, he has preserved and shared the true art of 'Djing' from Monterrey, throughout all northern Mexico.

The creation and management of spaces, experiences and distinguished exhibitions, such as Roland Coffee Bar, Inda Haus, The Fader Method, Open Studio by Imaginary Studios, hifirecords Pop-ups and RLND Sessions are what help him facilitate the growth of the DJing culture and bring the community of turntablists together.

This 2024 he’s independently crafting new musical projects as well as developing and curating new experiences with the substance and cultural value that will help to push forward the current DJ scene.
